Transforming Educational Visions into Successful Realities
November 15, 2019, is the official statewide observance of School Board Members Day in Illinois. This honorary day is an opportunity for staff, parents/guardians and community/business members to show appreciation for our Board of Education and its commitment to providing a unified voice and direction for the district’s educational vision and mission.
South Holland District 150 School Board Members continue to “transform educational visions into successful realities” by considering the hopes and thoughts expressed by our parents, community/business members and staff. This Board continues to create educational opportunities and pathways leading to successful learning experiences for each child, every day, in every classroom. District 150’s School Board Members serve the public as unpaid volunteers for the benefit of all students within our community. They dedicate a significant amount of their own personal time to this district by attending regularly scheduled and special meetings, extracurricular events, participating in professional development opportunities, and working long hours to ensure all students have access to educational resources and academic supports needed to become successful learning. Thriving communities have successful schools that prepare all students to become college and career ready and hopefully, they will make positive contributions to their community and positively impact the local economy.
On behalf of the South Holland School District 150’s administrative team, staff, students, families and community/business members, we salute and thank our Board members for their hard work, ongoing support, commitment and dedication to the district and community!
