Welcome Mr. Johnson - Chief School Business Offical
We are pleased to welcome Mr. Ricardo D. Johnson to our team as the Chief School Business Official. Mr. Johnson brings a wealth of experience in teaching and learning, educational leadership, and finance and business operations. Over the course of his career, he has served in a variety of roles across multiple school districts, including high school business teacher, building administrator, Director of Career and Technical Education (CTE) with two high school districts, Chief School Business Official with an elementary school district, and Director of Human Resources and Finance in a private school setting.
Mr. Johnson holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting and multiple advanced degrees, including a Master of Business Administration, Master of Arts in Teaching, and Master of Educational Administration. He also holds several endorsements issued by the Illinois State Board of Education, including Principal/General Administrative, Chief School Business Official, and Superintendent endorsements. Mr. Johnson's professional background includes extensive experience in grant management, strategic budgeting, professional development, and district improvement initiatives. These proven attributes make him exceptionally well-positioned to support the continued growth and success of our great school district.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Johnson serves as an Assistant Pastor at Lighthouse Church of All Nations in Alsip, where he and his wife, Dr. Dorith P. Johnson who is also an accomplished educator and an ordained Elder, serve as the Directors of the New Members Ministry and are instrumental in student recruitment for All Nations Leadership Institute, their church's bible college. Mr. Johnson and his wife are the godly proud parents of two young adult children, Destiny and Daniel, both of whom hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and are preparing for a career as a licensed physician.
